New child center contributes to breaking poverty cycle of Roma Tuesday, 15 May 2012
The recent opening of a new child center in Korcas (Albania) was attended by authorities from the municipality of Korca, Public Health Directorate, different NGOs and the media. The new building with two classrooms, a separate kitchen and consultation room for the doctor replaced the old building that didn't provide the children an optimal environment for studying. Dorcas continuously works to relief the suffering of those infected and affected by HIV and to prevent new infections. Despite these and other efforts, the UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon has again stressed that the world is falling behind in its pledge to reduce HIV/AIDS infections and improve treatment. Critical challenges remain, including inadequate funding, and the UN's HIV/AIDS targets for 2015 may not be met.

South Sudanese students graduate in turbulent times Monday, 23 April 2012
The conflicts between Sudan and South Sudan have intensified lately. But despite the conflicts, life also continues as usual. Last Friday, 77 students celebrated their graduation from the Dorcas' training center. Although most violence is concentrated to the border between Sudan and South Sudan, also in Wau the people are scared.
