The impact of the climbing food prices is making itself felt throughout East Asia, thus also in Mongolia. The bread prices have had a dramatic impact on the lives of ordinary Mongolians, who have also complained that while the price has risen, their weight of bread has decreased.In some cases, food prices have nearly tripled in the country. 2007 was a colourful year, full with positive developments within Dorcas Aid International. Some highlights: New Staff New staff members were hired both in two DDOs and at HQ. Thank You! We’ve Fed 30,000 People in Kenya

Since January 2008 up until today, DAI Kenya has - almost on a weekly basis - distributed food to poor displaced families, orphans and HIV positive people - in total approximately 30,000 - in the slum of Kibera in Nairobi. These people were hit hard by the outbreak of the post-electoral violence that broke our in December 2007. Many lost their homes, livelihoods and assets.
