About our logo?
Dorcas was born from the Christian Foundation for Aid to Persecuted Conscience (CSHG). This foundation was dedicated to Christians who were persecuted for their faith. The origins of the organization is reflected in the logo. The black plane represents the material aid in the shape of a box of supplies. The blue bars once symbolized the prison bars, today it symbolizes the poverty behind the scenes of the luxury to be found. After about twenty years, it still characterizes: helping our relatives is central.

New identity
In 2001, the new corporate identity manual realized in collaboration with the advertising agency Zealand Pieters VanderElst. The occasion was the wide range of leaflets and magazines which until mid 2001 a motley collection of colors and styles represented. Dorcas is in a process of growth, innovation and professionalism. To further aid support is important that we continue to grow in ways that assistance. Increasing recognition is an important factor in this growth. The new branding will be applied internationally.

Spelling Change
As of August 2001 has started with the name change of Dorcas Aid Netherlands. Dorcas is worldwide with a c written. In the Netherlands, with a k Dorcas written. Dorcas Aid Netherlands was one exception to the rule. One of the innovations in the style is nice, is that the world is now just about Dorcas with c spoken. Dorcas Aid Netherlands Netherlands was therefore Dorcas Aid.

Four icons
Through the corporate organization as Dorcas has a look and make it clear what Dorcas stands. There has chosen to use four pillars of activity for four recognizable icons. They depict the four main activities of Dorcas: relief, social, structural and financial adoption assistance and enhance the restyled logo of the organization. The style can be characterized as 'tight' and 'business', focusing on the textual message and the corresponding image. The quality of the articles and corresponding illustrations should challenge the reader to read on.
