From February 2011, the management teams of Dorcas Aid International and Dorcas Aid Netherlands have been merged. Until June 1st J. (Koos) Mink RMC, as interim director, and Michel Gendi together formed the management of Dorcas.
Michel Gendi
Since May 2001 worked Michel Gendi as regional director for Dorcas Aid International in North Africa based in Egypt.
In 2008, Michel accepted the request from the Board of Dorcas to be the successor of Dirk Jan Groot the founder of Dorcas as an International Director.
Since November 2008 Michel moved with his family to the Netherlands.
He worked as an Operational director for Dorcas Aid International until December 2009 and from January until April 2010 as deputy International director.
In April 2010 Michel became the International Director of Dorcas Aid International. Michel is an architect and his slogan within Dorcas is “life is too short to live for ourselves”. He strives along with a highly motivated team working for Dorcas to alleviate the consequences of poverty in the regions where Dorcas works at the moment.
