Heavy rains this autumn caused new floods in parts of Pakistan. The country regrets the loss of hundreds of lives. The personal livers of 4.5 million people are affected by these new floods. 275.000 houses are damaged and livestock and crops have been lost.
Dorcas remains active in rehabilitation
The Dorcas partner organisation in Punjab reports many people sleeping in the open air, surrounded by dirty standing water. There is a great need for tents, food and clean drinking water. Dorcas already supported a rehabilitation project in the affected region, and will remain active. A small portion of the donations made for Pakistan in 2010 will benefit the victims of this new floods: hundred tents will be provided.
