Dorcas Annual Report wins second prize
Dorcas received the second place int he Transparancy Award 2011. 189 charity organizations submitted their annual report for review. The Transparancy Award is intended for the Dutch charity that presents the most insightful and distinctive annual report. The submitted annual reports are assessed on criteria such as: governance, future plans, financial and non-financial information and fundraising.
Highest score on five components
The annual report scored 8.6, just after Wakker Dier, the foundation who won with a 9.0 the first prize. PwC says about Dorcas' annual report: "Dorcas managed to obtain the highest score on five components through extensive analyzes and evaluations included in the annual report. In short: a totally deserved nomination."
Open and honest communication is very important
Dorcas director Michel Gendi is very pleased with the good review. "It is great that we have achieved a second place. This indicates that Dorcas is a reliable organization. We fin dit very important to communicato openly and honestly about how the money of our donors is spent. The jury report shows that we have achieved that again with our annual report."
Dorcas sees transparency as a prerequisite for a good relationship between donors and the organization. Therefore, we pay much attention to a substantive and transparent annual report. The annual report of Dorcas can be read here.
