Annual Report 2007 Issued
2007 was a colourful year, full with positive developments within Dorcas Aid International. Some highlights:
New Staff
New staff members were hired both in two DDOs and at HQ. These were: A DDO Director for Dorcas Aid South Africa, a DDO Director for Dorcas Aid Hungary. At HQ: A book-keeper, Programme Coordinator Agriculture (also responsible for the Human Resource Management), a Relief & Rehabilitation Programme Coordinator and a Programme Coordinator Employment & Income (also responsible for Institutional Fundraising).
Strategic Plan
DAI finished its Strategic Plan 2007-2011 which will increase the effectiveness of reaching the poor and oppressed as well as possible. The plan also includes clear programme, organisation and donor strategies. Main goals of the strategies are: increased cooperation with INGOs, stimulation of cooperation among partner organisations with other NGOs, churches & government bodies, continued capacity development of partner organisations, increased participation & mobilization of beneficiaries, lobby & advocacy efforts as part of every sector, more multi sectoral programmes in communities. The three main goals of the organisation strategies are: increased effectiveness and efficiency, increased learning and knowledge within the organisation and expanded funding base.
ISO Certification
As of May 2007, Dorcas Aid International is ISO 9001:2000 certified and will stay on the move to improve!
Funding
In 2007, the funds increased with 13% compared to 2006.
