Achievements Until Now:
Assistance in the form of food parcels and clothes has been given to 500 beneficiaries regularly, once in three months. They will also be provided with spiritual and mental support. 5 schools in Korca and one church received school material such as school desks and chairs and other material. The association of blind people and the one of paraplegic people are assisted four times every year with food and clothes.
Target Groups:
The beneficiaries consist of grannies, people/children affected by social anomalies and divorce, patients with chronic diseases, individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Families with very low income have also been included in the program. Also to the list is added those most isolated elderly, large families, female headed households and also unemployed people as a result of state incompetence to bring more working opportunities.
Problem Program Addresses:
Lack of essential materials, equipment in poor households. No government support since 1990 to maintain, equip or improve medical, social and educational institutions. Poverty and social isolation is affecting the lives of people in Tropoja.
Purpose:
To improve the living conditions of needy people and improve the quality of services provided to them by the local medical, social and educational centres. To alleviate poverty and social isolation in the region of Tropoja.
Main Activities:
Logistics: receiving trucks with goods, providing the necessary documents and permission. Assessing the needs in local communities of the poorest families in close cooperation with the local government and other organisations. Distribute food parcels. Make regular visits to the beneficiaries. Provide material support.
