Achievements Until Now:
1020 people received training.
160 people are trained in Vocational schools. 80 graduates from Vocational schools are placed for apprenticeship in companies. 80 people trained on basic knowledge for computer and English language. 25 teachers are trained to improve their teaching methods. 273 men and women have found a job.

Description of Target Group:
The Employment & Income program in Albania focuses on families and individuals living in very poor conditions who are unemployed. Many of them are unskilled or partly illiterate. Part of the target group live in rural area's surrounding the city of Korca.

Main Problems Addressed:
High unemployment rate in the region of Korca, especially amongst low educated people and disadvantaged groups like gypsies, farmers, elderly, etc. Lack of market orientation on part of official Vocational Schools who have been unable to bridge the gap between labour demand and development of appropriate skills. Lack of economic resources available for small business development.

Purpose:
Poor families in the District of KORCA have their economic situation improved and generate income. Increase employment opportunities for jobseekers to become economically self-reliant in KORCA region.

Main Activities:
Motivational trainings, vocational trainings, job application workshops, improvement of curricula, computer courses, micro credits and job mediation.
