Achievements Until Now:
In Bosnia 3 Job Business Centres have been established. Until now 817 people have received trainings on job orientation; 270 people have followed vocational training; 12 people have been placed for an apprenticeship; 257 People have been employed and 23 new companies have been started.
Description of Target Group:
Approximately 500 unemployed of different categories (poor families with children, Roma families; homeless, deaf and blind) to be helped with education and employment opportunities; Approximately 150 youth to be helped with schooling, apprentice places and preparations for future work. Also, new greenhouses will be built and farmers will be assisted in setting up their own business.
Main Problems Addressed:
Poor socio-economic situation of unemployed people in BiH, low financial income, high level of unemployment leading to inability to find employment and provide for basic needs for life, low capability to find a job due to lack of motivation, education and work experience; poor business environment in Bosnia.
Purpose:
Social-economic living conditions in Bosnia sustainably improved for different socially marginalized groups. Unemployed to be provided with additional education; companies to increase their business and employment opportunities for more working places.
Main Activities:
Education and Trainings: motivation, job orientation, business and marketing trainings, investment management training, agricultural vocational training, apprenticeship programs; access to micro credits for starting companies and for enlargement of existing small and medium enterprises through support of Dutch and Bosnian joint ventures; appropriate exchange visits. |
