Achievements Until Now:
100 direct beneficiary children and 500 indirect beneficiary children's families are supported in the CBOS project. The children are supported with basic necessities such as food, schooling (materials, provision & tutorial support), medical treatment, vocational training and other psycho social services including counseling, guidance, recreation, home and school visits, health and moral education. Agar HIV/AIDS project is in its initial stage. 

Target Group:
CBOS project: 100 orphans, aged 8-18, who have lost both parents and live with guardian whose income is very low. Priority is given for HIV/AIDS orphans. Agar HIV/AIDS: 200 orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV/AIDS. The local community in the project area and church leaders are also targeted and receive HIV/AIDS awareness training.

Problem Program Addresses:
According to the research made by CBOS project, 8 % of children under 18 yrs in the target area of Kebeles, are orphans. Many of these can not enjoy their basic rights such as access to education, health and food because of their parents' death and the economic constraints of their guardians.The growing number of PLWHA and HIV orphans will have a profound impact on the society of Addis Ababa Yreka subcity kebele 19 where Adar HIV/AIDS project is operational. These areas are highly affected by the pandemic and the residing people in the areas are suffering from increased malnutrition, lack of health care, starvation, prostitution, unemployment and exposure to HIV infection.

Purpose:
To improve the physical, mental and social needs of HIV/AIDS orphaned children Reduce transmission of HIV/AIDS and its negative impact among the church and kebele 09/10 communities

Main Activities:
Raise awareness among community by advocate and organizing workshop on issues such as orphans and vulnerable children. Job placement (initial capital for self employment & facilitate employment).Educate through drama and conduct training to target group.Assist healthy PLWHA and grown up orphans in setting up small businesses.Provide support for younger orphans through foster parents, extended families, adoption and original parents.Provision of basic services like food, medicine, clothing and education.Provision of home based care service and financial support for bed ridden AIDS patients.Provide vocational skill training for  PLWHA and  older orphans.Organization of different advocacy forums and conferences on PLWHA and orphans.
