Achievements Until Now:
6 partners have been targeted in capacity building aimed at: improved capacities in human resource management and organizational policies, increased involvement of beneficiaries in decision-making processes, better planning and monitoring of projects, improved networking, increased lobby and advocacy and improved resource mobilization. Capacity building process utilizes a myriad of strategies ranging from training, coaching, research, exchange of experiences, facilitation and problem solving to advisory services. So far, topics such as financial management, PCM&PME, managing information, documentation and report writing, strategic planning Advocacy & resource mobilization, Right based approach to development, human resource management, networking and participatory project development have been covered. In general, there is a remarkable growth and improvement in human resources development (contracts being aligned to labour conditions of the country), improved financial monitoring and systems, development of strategic plans, increased involvement of beneficiaries in decision-making processes, as well as networking activities.
Target Group:
The capacity building has targeted 6 partner organizations staff of different cadres: programs, finance and support staff, as well as management.
Problem Program Addresses:
To have a capable and competent partners that can address pertinent development problems within their communities in a sustainable manner. Capacity building program has focused both not only on staff, but also on improving policies and systems.
Purpose:
To build the capacity of the partner organizations by ensuring that they have better systems and policies in human resources, organizational development and institutional development.
Main Activities:
Capacity building integrates several activities: training (leadership and HR management, managing time & office operation, participatory project development, project cycle management (PCM) & participatory monitoring and evaluation (PME), right based approach to development, Gender and development, HIV/AIDS & Counseling, advocacy, & resource mobilization, managing information, documentation and report writing), coaching in all the aforementioned, research on best practices, facilitation and problems solving, exchange of experiences among partners and advisory services on key policies issues. |
