Achievements Until Now:
Currently, 2 partners are benefiting from capacity building program. Training has focused mainly on project cycle management, financial management, participatory development, as well as coaching on reporting, exchange of experiences especially with their South African counterparts. The combination of training, coaching and exchange of experiences has translated to increased involvement of beneficiaries via beneficiary committees, improved networking and better service delivery.
Target Group:
2 Dorcas Aid strategic partners provide assistant to beneficiaries in Semankong (highlands), as well as the Lowlands of Lesotho.
Problem Program Addresses:
Generally, there is low capacity among partners in Lesotho. Dorcas Aid is addressing this through organizing tailor-made trainings, coaching and exchange programs that focus on identified needs within the realms of human resource development, as well as organizational and institutional development.
Purpose:
To improve capacities in project implementation and management of programs.
Main Activities:
The main capacity building activities has been training in financial management, project cycle management, monitoring of projects etc). This has been complimented by coaching and exchange of knowledge and expertise with other organizations.
