Achievements Until Now:
Sponsored children have received education/vocational training and are provided with basic needs such as food, healthcare, clothes and improved houses. These children including their families have also received information on HIV/AIDS in order to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS infections.
Target Group:
Orphans and vulnerable children in Inhaminga area. The project set selection criteria for this.
Problem Program Addresses:
Address the lack of access to basic provisions for the orphaned and vulnerable children in Inhaminga region. Most of the children live in rural communities with guardians because their parents died as a result of HIV/AIDS or other diseases and due to the civil war. Some of the parents are also very poor and cannot provide in the basic needs.
Purpose:
Improve the overall standards of living of the most vulnerable families in Cheringoma district (Inhaminga) through supporting the vulnerable children to access education and basic provisions.
Main activities:
Support the orphaned and vulnerable children with education, skills development through vocational training, as well as increasing access to health care (including HIV/AIDS prevention trainings), food and clothes. |
