Achievements Until Now:
4 partner organisations are currently involved in the capacity building program. This has been achieved through training in project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, human resource management, financial management, computer skills). This has been complimented by coaching especially on reporting and financial management, advisory services in development of policies (personnel and strategy plans) and exchange of experiences among partners. All these has seen growth in capacities of partners. 4 of them have developed better personnel policies and systems in tandem with the country labour laws. 3 of the partners have developed strategic plans covering a period of 3 to 5 years, all of them are involving beneficiaries in planning and decision-making process. In addition, all the partners are involved in networks with other like-minded organizations.
Target Group:
Capacity building program targets partner staff, management and beneficiary committees.
Problem Program Addresses:
Capacity building program focuses on enhancing partner staff skills to enable them implement programs in a sustainable way. Simultenously, capacity building improves policies and systems to enable the partner become effective and efficient in poverty alleviation.
Purpose:
DAI-Mozambique seeks to improve the technical skills of partner organization in project management and enhance their human resources, organizational and institutional development.
Main activities:
Capacity building activities are tailor-made to specific needs of partner organizations. This range from trainings, coaching, advisory services, research and impact studies to exchange of information and expertise between partners and other like-minded organizations. Capacity building activities are undertaken within the realm of human resource, organizational and institutional development. It is envisioned that this will create organizations that are stable and able to respond better to the needs of the poor people, as well as engaging governments and other stakeholders in a meaningful dialogue that promotes poverty alleviation in the country. |
