Achievements Until Now:
The sponsored grannies are being supported with basic provisions: food, shelter and clothing. Furthermore, spiritual care has been given by the project workers and social activities were organized.
Target Group:
Elderly people who are old, helpless and poor are supported by the project. The projects set selection criteria.
Problem Program Addresses:
Address the inability of the target group to provide in basic needs such as shelter, clothing, health care and food. Many sponsored grannies lost their spouse and children due to the effects the HIV/AIDS pandemic. These grannies are faced with isolation and abandonment.
Purpose:
Grannies are provided with basic supplies and psycho-social support to improve their quality of life.
Main Activities:
Provision of food supplies to grannies on a monthly basis. Provision of medical care for elderly. Provision of clothing and bedding materials to grannies. Visiting and encouraging interaction and socializing of the grannies through social activities.
