The living conditions of about 450 families have been improved. Many children in the age group 10-16 were taken to summer camps.
Target Group:
The targeted families are poor families with many children, handicapped children or parents, unemployed adults and/or single parent headed households.
Problem Program Addresses:
Families who have many children, who have mentally or physically handicapped members, who are single parent headed, e.g., live in very difficult situations with little or no chance for improvement. Most often, the children of these families end up living in the same circumstances when grown up due to the fact they have not had access to proper vocational or tertiary education.
Purpose:
To improve the living conditions of the most poor families in the community by assisting the families in becoming self-supportive and through providing spiritual, physical and social help.
Main Activities:
Distribution of the most essential goods to the families. Assist the families in paying the bills. Provision of school materials to families with schoolchildren twice a year. Involving families in social activities organised by local church. Organising summer camps for children aged 10-16.
