Achievements Until Now:
The partners' skills in project management, project proposals development, annual plans, progress reports and budgets have improved considerably. From 2005 onwards, some partners have received specific training: computer training, bookkeeping and English lessons. In 2007, partners took part in training in project management, fundraising and public relations.
Target Group:
Partner-organizations staff and leaders in Ukraine.
Problem Program Addresses:
In the early 1990's, local NGOs began playing a role in transforming civil society in Ukraine but still, their role in the development is limited as a result of different reasons ranging from lack capacity in planning and project management, poor knowledge in PR, lobby & advocacy to under-funding. DAI capacity building program is geared towards addressing these challenges.
Purpose:
To strengthen civil society by increasing the capacity of local NGOs in project management, financial management, language, computer skills, public relations and fundraising.
Main Activities:
Ukraine capacity building focuses on training in English-lessons, computer skills, bookkeeping, social work, project management, financial management, strategic management, public relations and fundraising. This is further followed by coaching during project-visits in writing project proposals, annual plans, progress reports and financial reports. |
